Bob began entertaining audiences around his home town of Waterbury, Ct., early on, apearing at local county fairs, recitals and community productions. While in college he began to consider performing more serioiusly, and began a long lasting dedication to vocal technique with renowned voice teacher and music director Richard De Rosa, a relationship that extended over 30 years. Bob expanded his area of performing from local community theatres in Ct. to summer stock theatres, most notedly Bucks County, Pocono, (Pa) and Falmouth (Ma) playhouses, a tour with the Ct. Opera (The Merry Widow) and performances at Coachlight and Darien dinner theatres, as well as several others. He also performed in a fabulous production of "Fanny" at the Paper Mill Playhouse (NJ) starring the great Jose Ferrer and George S. Irving.
When he moved back to Ct. he worked as artistic director of the Strand Theatre in Seymour Ct. directing and choreographing as well as on stage performing. This led to a 3 year association with Riverside Theme Park (MA) in productions mounted and staged by Kevin Connors and then to Cape May, NJ, singing and dancing in three seasons with Fine Life Productions directed by Tom Cupp and Darlene Le Preste Bois. Since then Bob has continued to sing in various cabaret venues in PA & NJ as well as joining his good friend Johnny Tocco's show "Dinner with Elvis" in which Bob does a Roy Orbison set.
While living in Philadelphia, PA, he began to work with masater piano accompanist and music arranger, Bob Egan, which resulted in Bob's first CD "A Work in Progress." He is continuing to engage audiences with his vocal programs, that consist of some of those pieces from that CD as well as classic arias, operetta, show tunes, and songs from the American Songbook to the pop songs that he grew up with: Roy Orbison, Elton John, Billy Joel, Elvis, Frank Sinatra and others.
